Amankora Luxury Lodges

Combining ‘aman’, the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’ and ‘kora’ meaning ‘circular pilgrimage’ in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language, Amankora is a series of small, luxurious 5 star lodges are situated in picturesque, spectacular locations throughout Bhutan’s western and central valleys. Tenzinling is an intimate, family run resort. Located in a strategic location it gives a bird-eye full view of the Paro valley with a spectacular Paro Dzong in the background. Gangtey Palace

Once the residence of the Penlope of Paro, this 19th century palace-style building is one of the most charming hotels in town. It is located about 0 minutes out of the main township. Gangtey Palace has 19 rooms in total which vary in size. The rooms are simple and comfortable but all have a private bathroom. Many have wonderful views over the valley and the dzong as do the restaurant and bar. The hotel also has a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath. Facilities are simple but the relaxed and friendly ambience enhances any stay.
